Code Red Training Inc. is family-owned and operated right here in Mineola, NY. Since our company opened its doors in 2003, we’ve treated every customer like they were a part of our family. Other companies may offer similar services, but our services are the best, and come with a personal touch.  

Founder and President Kenneth J. Solosky has been involved in emergency services since the age of 14, when he took his first CPR and first aid course. Ken retired from the New York City Police Department (NYPD) after twenty one years of service as a Lieutenant/Chief Pilot in the Aviation Unit. His other assignments within the police department have included: patrol, patrol sergeant, patrol platoon commander, the Warrant Division and Police Academy Instructor. Ken also helped establish and was the Chief Pilot for the Newark (NJ) Police Department Aviation Unit. Ken is certified as an Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) in both airplanes and helicopters and is a helicopter flight instructor. He also has ratings as an advanced ground and instrument ground instructor. Ken is a certified New York State Emergency Medical Technician (EMT-B). Ken holds instructor ratings in First Aid and CPR/AED.  Ken has taken on a position within the Northwell Health System as the Senior Director of Security, Safety and Emergency Management for their Manhattan Hospital Sites.

Ken has taught and lectured domestically and internationally on training, counter-terrorism and airborne law enforcement operations. In addition, he is a regular contributor to Officer.com, an online law enforcement magazine. Ken has also written articles in various law enforcement/emergency response magazines.

K​en has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Public Administration from St. John’s University in New York and earned his Master of Arts degree in Criminal Justice at the City University of New York, John Jay College of Criminal Justice.
